About

My name is Trent Davies, and ever since I first opened the Warcraft III Map Editor at 11 years old I've been absorbed by games and how they're made.

I'm a player-focused game designer with over 6 years of experience who has led multidisciplinary teams and brought ideas to life from conception to delivery in an agile working environment. I'm extremely motivated about creating deep and rewarding player experiences based on a strong understanding of game design concepts and pushing the envelope, while prioritising a healthy development cycle.

Previously a part of PlayReactive, I'm now based in the North East of England as a Senior Game Designer at Coatsink, currently working on an unannounced title.

I studied at Cologne Game Lab (TH Köln) and RMIT University, where I received a Bachelor of Design (Games).

I'm also a former competitive StarCraft II player and this experience opened my eyes to the intricacies of game design, which ultimately guided my life to where it is today.
